The safety, health and well-being of our campers is of our utmost concern. The Chester County Health Department on June 10, 2021, issued its 2021 Summer Camp Guidance (click here for guidelines).  In accordance with these guidelines, face coverings will be optional for all campers and staff. While cohorting and physical distancing is no longer required according to the guidelines, our program divides our campers into smaller groups (villages) naturally. In these village groupings, campers do the majority of their activities together with their age group and their exposure to larger groups will be limited. We plan to do a thorough health screening of all campers in our streamlined check-in process that will be similar to last summer in efforts to reduce standing in lines or crowds of people.

Routine cleaning of equipment in high touch surfaces and shared objects will occur regularly. Campers and staff will be taught and monitored for proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. Touchless water fountains will be used to fill individual use water containers.

If your child is not feeling well please do not bring them to camp until they have been cleared by a medical doctor.  Campers will be monitored for symptoms while at camp by our nursing staff and immediately separated from others until pick-up by parents is possible if they have Covid-19 symptoms or any other communicable illness.

As we seek the safest and most effective ways to continue running our programming, we will be tracking the latest CDC and PA Health Department recommendations. Our goal is to maintain a safe environment by educating our campers and staff on safe practices and risk management. This will include a regular routine of sanitizing the facilities as well as regulating proper hygiene for the campers and staff within their daily routine.

Rigorous sanitation of food service and dining areas will be in place. Disposable gloves will be available at serving lines for guest use. Kitchen staff will follow the guest group’s protocol for masks when in the serving areas.

Masks will be optional unless the Department of Health requires them to be worn, we will ask each camper and counselor to bring a mask along for certain settings where social distancing may not be possible. For outdoor play and indoor activities where the campers can spread out, we will not be requiring masks. However, as parents, if you prefer that your child wear a mask, they are welcome to do so.

Campers will be reminded to wash hands often, socially distance where possible and practice good hygiene during camp to preventing the spread of Covid19 and other illnesses.

Campers will undergo a health screening at drop off which will include a temperature check and health risk questions. We ask that families keep sick campers at home. Families will not be charged for campers that are kept home because they are sick.

Campers should come prepared to spend time outside every day the weather permits. We are thankful for the 150 acres and spread out facilities here at camp, and we believe that we can still offer a fun, safe, spiritually enriching experience for your child under the guidelines in place.

Guest groups will have the opportunity to determine their own protocol regarding masks and health screenings. Should guest groups determine to require masks, please communicate this with our office prior to your arrival so our staff can be alerted to wear masks.
